KOTELNIKOV MANSION
At the initiative of the territorial administration of the Ferghana region for the development of tourism and citizen Askarov Yuri Sheralievich, measures were taken to restore the mansion of Sergei Ivanovich Kotelnikov , who at one time held the post of Manager of General Affairs of the Ferghana governorate under Mikhail Dmitrievich Skobelev (1875 – 1882). On the basis of this house, it was decided to open a Museum and guest house and add it to the list of tourist attractions in the region. This mansion was built in 1906 according to the plan of George Mikhailovich Svarichevsky (1868-1936) - a famous Tashkent architect in the “Baroque” style. It should be noted that Yuri Askarov's efforts to preserve the architectural structure, which has not lost its original appearance. The construction was organized using traditional and imported building materials, rubble stone, burnt bricks and local raw bricks.
