Fergana region will host an exhibition and a scientific and practical conference on the theme «Importance of Margilan silk fabrics in the international market in the Middle Ages» 27.05.2025 13:11On the basis of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan of 29 July 2022 № RP-338 « On measures for the accelerated development of cooperation with Turkic states in the field of tourism» it is planned to hold every two years in the city of Margilan an International Forum about «The importance of Margilan silk fabrics on the international market in the middle ages», including an exhibition and a scientific conference.
In this connection, 29 May this year in the city of Margilan together with the Government of Fergana region, regional Tourism department, association «Hunarmand» and Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan held a scientific-practical conference.
Within the framework of the conference on the basis of the integrated continuous system «training-teaching-restoration-preservation-popularization» of intangible cultural heritage samples at the base of the center of craftsmen will be conducted youth training in the manufacture of products from adras on the principle «teacher-student», scientific research, exhibitions and demonstrations.
